an undecidable beginning

I just ordered two books, companion volumes on teaching and learning. When they arrive, where should I begin? Certainly, where I begin will determine how I understand the learning/teaching encounter. And once I’ve begun, I can never undo what I’ve done. The fate of my development hangs in the balance. (I’m half-serious about this.)

The other question involved: am I first a teacher, then a student. Or is the reverse true?
